The Jester Brings Chills and Scares to UK Cinemas

Autumn is the season for prowling monsters, spine tingling chills, and scares aplenty with Halloween creeping up on us. Filmmaker Colin Krawchuck’s feature film debut ‘The Jester’ promises plenty of these things and more, and a week into its US release is already scaring cinema goers and home audiences alike. The new face of horror will make its way across the big pond thanks to Dazzler Films, arriving on 6th November for a UK and Ireland cinema run.

After the recent death of their father John Wheeler, two estranged sisters Emma and Jocelyn, find themselves being stalked by a malevolent being known as The Jester. Revealing himself to be more than just a man in a mask, the evil entity begins to further torment the inhabitants of this small town on Halloween night. The means to beat this creature lies with the two sisters who realise the only way to survive is to figure out how to right the wrongs of their dark past.

‘The Jester’ is an adaptation of a trilogy of short films, written by Colin Krawchuck and Michael Sheffield, and directed by Krawchuck. Having caught the attention of major horror distributor Dread Central, a feature film was commissioned with Krawchuck signed on as director and writer with ‘The Blair Witch Project’ co-creator Eduardo Sanchez as executive producer. The principal cast features a veteran of the big and small screen, Matt Servitto as John Wheeler. Servitto is known for his roles in ‘The Sopranos’ ‘Banshee’ and ‘NCIS: New Orleans’.  Playing the estranged sisters thrown together by a chilling twist of fate are Leila Symington as Emma and Delaney White as Jocelyn. The film’s feature creature, ‘The Jester’  is played by the original trilogy’s co-writer Michael Sheffield.

The film is a week into its US cinema run with VOD release planned shortly leading up to Halloween, and already it has garnered positive reviews with Geek Legion of Doom calling it “very inventive.” Cinema audiences across the Atlantic pond will get their chance to be scared witless as Dazzler Films bring ‘The Jester’ to UK and Irish cinemas from 6th November.
