Bernard and Elba are two lemurs, star crossed lovers, travelling amongst the clouds in their purpose built airships. Across the picturesque cloudy sky they send affectionate notes to one another by carrier pigeon and soon plan to meet on the other's ship in the air. Danger arrives in the shape of a destructive storm that threatens to wreak havoc on their love and lives.

Travel Ban is the story of being brown and immigrant in Trump's America as told through the eyes of comedians of middle eastern descent.
I often use the phrase "you have to laugh; you'd go mad if you didn't." In a world in which Donald Trump is now President of the United States of America the world has certainly gone mad... so what we need is some laughter. Samy Chouia's documentary brings us those laughs but with a chilling context. It opens with comedian Aron Kader on stage talking about how America is a tolerant society, where there is no Xenophobia, religious hatred, bigotry inter-cut with footage of verbal and physical abuse against Middle Easterners, Hispanics, generally anyone who is not white American. With this stark juxtaposition Chouia sets the tone for the story that is about to unfold.

Talking Bad with Timon Singh [VIDEO]
What happens when two movie nerds get together at Bristol's leading cultural arts centre, cinema and cafe over coffee and a beer? We talk movies what else and that's what happened when I met up with Timon Singh at the Watershed for a chat.
Born and bred in the city of Bristol, Timon is the co-founder of The Bristol Bad Film Club, a monthly screening event featuring some of the most beloved bad films ever to grace the cinema screen. Titles have included, "Plan 9 From Outer Space", "Black Samurai" with "Enter the Dragon" star Jim Kelly and of course Tommy Wiseau's seminal bad film "The Room".The Bristol Bad Film Club has become a hallmark of what is quintessentially Bristol; it has also sparked a movement seeing other bad film screening events happening around the country. This is synonymous with a resurgent interest in bad films sparked by The Asylum's "Sharknado" series and I would guess a surge of nostalgia films such as "Electric Boogalo; The Wild Untold Story of Cannon Films", and more recently Rob Hill's "The Bad Movie Bible."

[Film Review] Everything's Gonna Be Okay
Written/Directed by Matt Soson
Crooked Grin Productions
Starring; Matt Soson, Erika Soto
A simple hiking trip turns into a life and death nightmare for a young couple, when Jake succumbs to an injury that leaves him unable to walk. Stranded in the middle of nowhere with no technology and no living person in sight Jake resigns to his fate but his girlfriend Alex is determined to find a way to save them both.
The film's title sets the scene and tone about to unfold perfectly. It is that reassuring mantra we utter to ourselves, a comforting lie if you will one so apt for Matt Soson's first sitting in the director's chair.
